Scroll down for a complete overview of what this job will require Are you the right candidate for this opportunityWe are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Director of Health Communications to join a boutique firm within a global agency, with offices in Washington, DC and New York. As part of the team, you will have the opportunity to work with an exciting mix of hospital/health system, biotech, health insurer, health tech clients, and more.Key Responsibilities:Develop strategic corporate communication plans for healthcare organizationsAccount and project management, including setting and meeting deadlines, managing colleague contributors, workplans, and monitoring of account budgets and needs.Generate media outreach strategies, build strong relationships with media outlets and key industry stakeholders, and pitch stories on a regular basisDemonstrate acute understanding of the health sector and policy environment or significant parts of it, an excellent understanding of healthcare reporting trends, and a desire to expand into new areasContribute to new business proposals and pitchesReact quickly and prioritize appropriately in response to urgent client requests or developments in the media.Collaborate across teams to deliver services in collaboration with other divisions.Qualifications:Education: Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred in Public Relations or related field.Experience: Minimum 7 years of experience working in public relations specifically focused on healthcare communications.Skills Required: Excellent verbal/written communication skills; strong organizational abilities; ability to multi-task effectively under pressure.Salary & Benefits:The successful candidate can expect competitive compensation of $100000-$150000 commensurate upon qualifications along with great benefits packages and a bonus.EOE Statement:
