What we do:

We are looking for a hands-on VP of UX/UI to partner with leaders across the organization. This person will report into our Head of Product and will be responsible for crafting the customer experience vision for the Trade Desk’s products so that we can deliver seamless experiences end-to-end. We are redefining the advertising industry by changing the way global brands and their agencies advertise to audiences around the world. It’s a fast-paced environment where decisions are data-focused, collaborative, and iterative.

What you’ll do :

Provide design and product thought leadership, identifying and developing strategic opportunities to drive business and product strategy, creating artifacts to align stakeholders and teamsWork across and collaborate with product, engineering, UX research, and others to develop and prototype product visionDistilling qualitative and quantitative feedback to unearth recurring themes and promote data-driven design decisionsLead definition of the design work and deliver business outcomes across multiple products, with minimal guidance and coachingWork collectively with greater global Sales, Client Services, and Trading teams to cultivate focused accounts and brandsWork closely with product, marketing and revenue teams to constantly optimize efforts relating to company-wide goalsBuild deep and lasting connections internally across The Trade Desk departments and specialty functionsManage user research to understand the customer problems to tackle In many cases, you will be owning and driving solutions to problems that our clients don’t yet know that they have

Who you are:

15+ years of relevant industry experience as a manager of interaction and visual designers, designing products and services across multiple platformsA degree in a related field such as interactive design, architecture, industrial design, graphic design, or human factors is preferredExperience working on agile teams delivering value in digital products preferredExperience running and/or using research to support evidence-focused design decisions preferredEffective communication as a writer, presenter, and facilitator; equally at ease speaking with developer partners or executivesAn array of design skills including service design and strategic design methods.Information architecture, prototyping, user research, and visual design will also be criticalExperience leading healthy, diverse, and engaged teamsFamiliarity with the value of design systems, understanding reuse and scale, and knowing when to contribute to make them betterA foundation of development knowledge, both web and mobileStrong communication skills with an ability to speak with C-level clients A digital portfolio we can review online is required

The actual amount may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and location. All employees may be eligible to become The Trade Desk shareholders through eligibility for stock-based compensation grants, which are awarded to employees based on company and individual performance. The Trade Desk also offers other compensation depending on the role such as sales-based incentives and commissions. Plus, expected benefits for this role include comprehensive healthcare (medical, dental, and vision) with premiums paid in full for employees and dependents, retirement benefits such as a 401k plan and company match, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, well-being benefits, reimbursement for certain tuition expenses, parental leave, sick time of 1 hour per 30 hours worked, vacation time for full-time employees up to 120 hours thru the first year and 160 hours thereafter, and around 13 paid holidays per year. At the Trade Desk, Base Salary is one part of our competitive total compensation and benefits package and is determined using a salary range. The base salary range for this role is
