Job Description

Macmillan Learning seeking a Marketing Assistant, STEM to support the STEM Channel Marketers. Responsibilities will include active engagement with platforms like Jeto; Marketo; SalesForce; and Google Suite--Qualtrics (to some extent). The Marketing Assistant, STEM will need to support marketing managers in both operational and creative initiatives. In addition to managing routine administrative tasks, the assistant will support all aspects of marketing campaigns, and be willing to learn and adapt to new technologies and platforms.

Major responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Building Qualtrics surveys and tracking survey results.

Paying gift cards and event logging.

Copyediting and launching Sales Tools and other forms of sales support.

Helping to plan and organize live and in-person conference meetings and impact events (focus groups and webinars), as well as the National Sales Meeting (2/year).

Running adoption reports and tracking usership through SalesForce and PowerBI and managing Top Target tracking, among other SFDC initiatives.

Creating email campaigns and landing pages through Jeto and Marketo and running mailing lists using SalesForce and Marketo swim lane segmentation.

Hiring and managing an intern/contractor, either through the summer internship program or throughout the year.

Flexible assignments that include opportunities for greater responsibility and higher level marketing initiatives. For example, the chance to takeover campaign planning for one or two small titles, leading conference planning, planning and leading a webinar series, visiting campus with a sales rep, etc. This may be a mix of expanding current duties with managers providing support to MCs by facilitating training opportunities for new skills.

Qualifications:Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

BA or BS in English, Communications, Marketing, Business or other related field.

Knowledge of Google for Work (Slides, Sheets, Docs, Drive).

Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively across departments and teams.

Ability to multitask, prioritize projects and deadlines, and manage a number of ongoing tasks simultaneously.

Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.

Team oriented with a positive can-do attitude; takes initiative to support new projects/tasks and learn new skills.

Comfortable learning new technologies.

Keen interest in web maintenance and/or market research.

Preferred Qualifications:

Basic HTML knowledge preferred.

Knowledge of content management systems and survey tools a plus.

Familiarity with project management tools, such as Asana and JIRA, a plus.

Salary Range:

$42,000

Exemption Status:

Non-Exempt

Physical Requirements:

Requires periods of close concentration in a sometimes busy and open office; must be able to multi-task. Must be able to work over 40 hours a week and travel occasionally. Must be able to prioritize projects and deadlines.

This is a hybrid role with office time in New York; Boston or Austin required -- with preference for New York or Boston. Candidates must be located near or in these areas to be considered.
