Our company offers the broadest range of environmentally safe live fire and emergency responder training solutions including Aircraft, Mobile, Modular, Outdoor Industrial, Portable Outdoor, Maritime, Military and HazMat applications.About the RoleThe Design Engineer supervises and implements all mechanical and electrical design efforts within the Engineering Group.Responsibilities:Work directly with internal or external design specialist resources to facilitate all mechanical and electrical design efforts for the Engineering Group.Monitor design tasks to ensure they are completed on time and within allocated budgets.Prepare schedules and resource requirements needed to successfully complete Engineering Group projects.Coordinate with electrical engineers on control elements and either internal or external resources for the electrical design coordination (Panel Design, Interconnections, Overall Electrical design).Work closely with all departments within KFT to ensure that design drawings convey the correct information and are error free.Work with customer drawings, government drawings or specifications.Develop standard layouts between the standard products and engineering group.Qualifications:5 - 7 years of experience in drawing/designing5-7 years of design management experienceWorking knowledge of most recent Auto-Cad softwareTechnical capacityCommunication proficiencyProblem solving/analysisInitiativeRequired Skills:AutoCADAutodesk Inventor
