Marketing Director, Venture CapitalSlater Technology Fund/RightHill VenturesThe Slater Technology Fund is seeking a talented and experienced marketing leader to develop our new affiliate fund, RightHill Ventures, into a world-class investor in early-stage ventures ranging from software, AI, and life sciences to energy. The Marketing Director will partner with the Managing Director of the fund to develop new investor prospects with engaging content, curated videos, and automated email and PR campaigns. Hands-on-keyboard skills and a platform-building mindset are a must for this lean and nimble role.RightHill Ventures targets problems that matter with solutions from university research. Working with Brown University, the University of Rhode Island, and other universities in the region to identify and fund the most promising R&D, we believe in the strength of the larger community to power bold launches backed by individualized investment syndicates. jobs@:Responsibilitie sBuild robust and repeatable processes in HubSpot for community outreach and engagement.Create and curate various content types, including videos, web, social and email campaigns.Collaborate to craft video introductions, explainer videos, fireside chats, and other event-related content.Develop and implement content marketing strategies to nurture investor leads and create engaging sequences, growing our network of limited partners and mentors.Maintain consistency in the firm's marketing voice across all content pieces.Develop and execute a marketing calendar to ensure timely and coherent content delivery.Manage HubSpot and demonstrate expertise in content workflows, approval processes and automation.Leverage STEM domain expertise and experience to effectively communicate technical concepts.Demonstrate excellent speechwriting skills to emulate the voice and tone of partners.Engage with alumni networks and university culture to foster relationships and grow our network.Cultivate relationships with prospective investors, family offices, and high net worth individuals, showcasing professionalism and maturity.RequirementsProven success in a similar role, preferably in venture capital or investment industry.HubSpot mastery. Hands-on-keyboard skills and a platform-building mindset are a must.Strong multimedia management/production experience.STEM domain expertise or prior experience in related fields.Excellent writing skills, with the ability to emulate the voice of the firms' partners.Experience with alumni engagement and familiarity with university culture.Demonstrated ability to engage with investors, family offices, and high net worth individuals.Demonstrated ability to plan and execute community- and conversion-focused events.Strong organizational and project management skills.Open to occasional travel and in-person time with partners.Salary, Benefits, Working EnvironmentWe intend to start this position as a part-time contracting relationship with the potential to transition to employment with the firm. The target compensation for this position is $100/hr, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Virtual work is OK but we thrive on frequent in-person whiteboard sessions.
