THE ROLE:

SEMI is seeking an experienced communications professional to join our Corporate Marketing team to manage and support marketing communications projects for SEMI corporate and regional products, programs, and initiatives. Responsibilities include the planning, development, and execution of public relations campaigns with sharp focuses on press relations, content creation (press releases, blogs and social media) and editing. This role will help ensure voice, brand and messaging consistency across all projects and campaigns worldwide, working with internal clients and representatives from our member companies. Other responsibilities may include coordination of press activities at events, tracking press coverage and communications metrics, and website support.

The ideal candidate has the vision and savvy to redefine and drive the public relations program to reach key target audiences and raise the association's visibility. You are a self-starter and can manage your work and time effectively on your own, using available resources to find solutions to virtually any challenge. You are passionate and curious about all aspects of our business and have an adaptive mindset.

This is a full-time, exempt position and reports to the Director of Marketing Communications at the SEMI HQ Milpitas office.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:Support the development and implementation of marketing communication campaigns, including strategy and objectives, copy writing, project management, review and editing, distribution and measurement.Oversee proactive and reactive press outreach to semiconductor industry trade press and partner with the Director of Marketing Communications on outreach program to top tier business press.Maintain a consistent voice for corporate social media channels and create content in support of campaigns; partner with regional marketing teams and provide guidance to maximize the visibility of contentCollaborate with cross-functional and international teams (including creative, product marketing, digital marketing, product and event managers, and executive leadership) to produce strategic and effective marketing communications products and campaignsSupport development of messages, talking points, and briefs for internal staff and executivesDevelop and manage project timelines and schedulesCommunicate brand and support brand management with internal stakeholdersWHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE:

5+ years of experience in public relations and/or communications (preferably within the electronics manufacturing industry in general and the semiconductor industry specifically)B.S./B.A. or advanced degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing or related fieldsA solid understanding of contemporary marketing communications practices and trends, in particular digital and social mediaFamiliarity with inbound marketing and content marketing concepts and strategiesExpertise with Microsoft Office; experience with marketing automation tools (i.e. Cision, and Sprout Social) is a plusBasic design skills and competency for website and social media graphicsExperience with event marketing (in particular attendee acquisition) is a plusExcels working in a global organization with diverse geographies/regions and cultures.
