Associate Technical Designer - Men's & Boy's Sportswear
Client Overview: A well-established Men's & Boy's Sportswear Company selling to retailers such as Macys, Kohls and Walmart.
Position Overview: Clientis looking for a motivated, organized and experienced Associate Technical Designer who can work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Associate Technical DesignerResponsibilities:• Work closely with technical designer, design and sourcing to create specs for development samples and costing for styles ranging from Men's to Boys• Maintain and Update Block Spec library• Create graded specs for orders and work with Assistant Designer to complete Tech Packs• Conduct fittings and evaluate garments from proto to pre-production• Communicate effectively with overseas makers through email, photo references, and video conference calls• Collaborate with Production Managers to ensure timely delivery of comments to factories
Associate Technical Designer Qualifications:• Ideal candidate must have a minimum of 2 years of experience, preferably in Men's & Boy's sizes 2T through 20• Must have experience in all categories of tops, bottoms, knits & wovens for boys & men's• Must be able to use MS office & Excel for spec sheets• Must be proficient in using a Mac Desktop--- can use PC if desired• Good knowledge of sewing and construction• Strong knowledge and experience with children's safety protocol• Should be familiar with all categories of tops, bottoms, knits & wovens along with some girls & ladiesMust be capable of working with a team• Must be able to multitask and balance multiple deadlines• Clear and excellent communication skills with overseas makers
