This is a critical role in the organization providing to drive new product development across all WellNow’s customer experiences, current and future, including practice locations, contact center, and digital properties. The Principal UX Designer is responsible for overseeing design-related activities, managing the design system, and delivering high-quality modern user interfaces.Duties And Responsibilities

Passionate about design and brand, strong understanding around the fundamentals of designIllustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows, and sitemapsDevelop UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites function and look likeGather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product managers and engineersWorking with Lean UX principles that help agile product teams succeedUtilize object-oriented design & atomic design applied through development of state-of-the-art interactive experiences with a focus on collaboration with designers, developers, and QA professionalsBuilding design systems that are flexible and adaptable to various design requirementsTranslate designs to consumable formats for developers. ie. CSS, SCSS, LESS, JSS, etc.Building experiences across various digital platforms such as desktop, mobile, & AIBuilding experiences for physical office locationsBuilding responsive designsAdhere to and contribute to style standards on fonts, colors, and imagesEffectively communicating design intentions with engineers, project managers, and leadershipUsing version control tools to backup and share your workBe well versed and comfortable in agile product management frameworks and exercise top-notch product management skills.Ability to partner and manage relationships with third-party design vendorsEducation/Skills/Characteristics

Degree in Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, technology or related field7+ years of hands-on experience creating engaging, multi-platform user experiences that follow a unified design language4+ years of experience managing and building robust design systemsExperience with UX design tools such as Figma, Sketch, & Adobe Creative CloudDemonstrated ability to empathize with end-users and understand how their needs impact key decisionsOutstanding communicator - both verbally and in writingProven success articulating and defending design decisionsExperience conducting design throughout an agile development processClear passion about WellNow’s mission and ability to identify possibilities in our industryAbility to be self-directed to solve business issues in defined product areaAbility to make decisions about and prioritize own workEntrepreneurial with a strong inclination towards action, preferably with experience at a startup or highly dynamic environmentPassionate advocate for our customers and the user experienceDrive to become the subject matter expert in your product area and be the “go to” person and subject matter expertSalary: $130,000 - $150,000
