We are actively seeking a highly creative and experienced Design Director to join our Healthcare Team and share our commitment to designing for social and ecological wellbeing. The successful candidate will lead and achieve creative and design excellence, influence thought leadership both internally and externally, and advocate for and define best practices.As a Design Director at Cuningham, you will expand our worldview by aligning our creative direction with the most progressive examples of design-thinking, compelling storytelling, and innovative, regenerative performance. Lead the development of compelling and progressive design solutions for our clients and their projects.Lead a wide range of large and complex projects through all phases, with an emphasis on early phases, in an iterative and collaborative design process in alignment with our strategic themes and project success metrics.Elevate creativity and innovation by pushing the boundaries and challenging “what was done before.”Engage in accelerating our design culture that reflects our commitment to social and environmental wellness outcomes.Influence the formation of high performing design teams consistent with established teaming process.Develop and deliver internal and external design presentations.Strengthen our reputation through thought leadership and differentiated points of view.Motivate and inspire the project team to provide their best by supporting team member development and growth.Participate in or lead the project pursuit process by informing, preparing and reviewing content for proposals/interviews.Identify new business opportunities in existing projects, through strong client relationships, and with industry partners.Engage in recruiting processes.Achieve annual sales and revenue goals.Demonstrate leadership in the industry and market as a subject matter expert.Influence and lead the visualization, communication, and representation of the firm's design work for internal and external audiences.
$170,000 - $225,000 a yearCompensation provided is based on our national range which varies by work location and may also depend on accreditation, experience and responsibilities.
