POSITION SUMMARY

Be one of the first applicants, read the complete overview of the role below, then send your application for consideration.This position is responsible for collaborating with our Production team and several cross-functional teams (Brand, Marketing, Sales, Release Management, HQ, etc.) to manage user research testing and reporting for Bandai Namco Entertainment America Inc.’s PC and console games. The role entails understanding the needs of a game’s target audience and helping with steering game development towards fulfilling those needs.Join us at our new campus in Irvine, California where a hybrid work schedule will be observed.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESCoordinate with internal and external departments and developers on the execution of various user research tests, including but not limited to concept tests, online surveys, A/B testing, focus groups, and onsite play tests.Collaborate with external entities to execute user testing, while also helping to evaluate and vet partners.Assist in evaluating the target market and potential of our games currently in development and create analysis and summary reports that will be submitted to relevant internal teams.Help identify deviations from our defined quality standards and propose action plans in collaboration with the Producer.Follow market trends and identify the key success factors of popular games to develop our business, in addition to helping create and maintain latest best practice documentation based on game industry trends, user research, and 1st party recommendations.Travel to external developer or agency’s office to assist in the execution of any onsite focus groups and/or play tests.Assist with milestone reviews and post-mortem assessments.QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS1-3 years of experience in the game industry (preferred), with knowledge of game design and/or project management.Experience and knowledge of various research methodologies to implement and update processes to improve analysis.Experience and knowledge of the different stages of production and development of video games.Must have excellent interpersonal skills in handling difficult situations, with the ability to negotiate and recommend solutions.Ability to perform under flexible work schedules to deal with worldwide timeframes.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and able to communicate difficult data analysis in a clear and concise manner to other parties.Keep current with new and emerging game software technologies.Passion for video games.EDUCATION/EXPERIENCEBachelor’s degree in Human Interaction, User Research, UX/UI.Or equivalent work experience.SALARY RANGE : $89,676 - $117,820Actual base salary will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, but not limited to, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs. The salary range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees and it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
