We currently have an opening for a Marketing Strategy & Performance Senior Lead to join GFM’s Strategy & Planning team. This team drives the strategic direction and owns the planning process for the Global Field Marketing team, with deep connection to the business. This team member will drive high visibility critical initiatives with executives, ability to take high level or ambiguous direction and translate to action, and a willingness to dig in and find answers. This Marketing Strategy & Performance Senior Lead will be connected to the full GFM organization - using their intrapersonal skills to build relationships and navigate a highly matrixed and global organization. This role is a crucial part of the Strategy & Planning team - bringing the marketing plans, efforts in action, and impact to executive visibility.This role is office-hybrid and will work from the office 3 days a week in either Seattle, Chicago, Atlanta, Denver, Indianapolis.Key Responsibilities:Create clarity and understanding of performance of marketing activities and how they are impacting the targeted outcomesArticulate and document marketing strategy - full funnel, integrated marketing viewOrchestrate the design and implementation of the Global Field Marketing planning and goal setting process design, documentation and executionAnalyze data driven inputs and come up with strategic insights - with data ranging from budgets, performance data, company and business results, market and competitive intelligenceUnderstand Global Field Marketing team - roles, responsibilities, and owners - make recommendations on the optimal ways to plan and complete workSet goals and ensure tracking and operational rigor is in place to measure impactNarrative writing (in the style of the Amazon 6-pager,) strategy slides and executive summaries in SlackTranslation of marketing plan to non-marketing (business) audiencesProject management of key portions of the planning processCoordinate across multiple marketing partners on the timely delivery of informationBasic Qualifications:Degree or equivalent relevant experience required. Experience will be evaluated based on the core competencies for the role (e.g. extracurricular leadership roles, military experience, volunteer roles, work experience, etc.)6+ years of professional experience, ideally in marketing strategy/business operations rolesProven track record of operating with a high level of autonomy and managing ambiguityExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExperience presenting to executivesPreferred Qualifications:3+ years of marketing strategy or planning experience, preferably in a technology companyConsulting experience is a plusExperience with data analysisAbility to translate complex information into easily consumable insightsAbility to influence and impact without authority and solve difficult problemsStrong interpersonal and cross group collaboration skillsAbility to drive simplicity within a complex and matrix environmentExperience with Tableau, SQLSelf-starter and high degree of motivation to go above and beyond the task at handHigh proficiency in Google Sheets and Google Slides (or their Microsoft equivalents)#LI-HybridAccommodationsIf you require assistance due to a disability applying for open positions please submit a request via this Accommodations Request Form.Posting StatementAt Salesforce we believe that the business of business is to improve the state of our world.
