Friendship Place seeks a Temporary Part-Time Communications Consultant for 12 - 14 weeks at 20 hours per week. This is a contracted position.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:The Individual will strengthen Friendship Place’s collateral through the following responsibilities:Design materials:Develop and update one-page descriptions of each Friendship Place program.Develop compelling and professional print and digital communications, including collateral, brochures, and promotion for each Friendship Place event.Seek out other earned and paid media.Online Content:Assisting in posting strategic content on

Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube.Manage WordPress website, editing content and uploading images.Promote events, including Friendship Walk, in multiple online media outlets.Assist in developing content for informational emails to the FP community.Requirements:Education/Experience:Bachelors Degree.A minimum of 2-5 years experience in marketing, communications, and media relations.Solid writing and meticulous copyediting skills; attention to detail is critical.Ability to learn new programs and skills quickly.Experience managing websites.Graphic design abilities are required, specifically using Canva and similar tools.Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator are a plus.Expertise using a Mac OSX processor and Microsoft Office applications.Personal Qualities and Qualifications:Strong problem-solving mindset, with the ability to find solutions to challenges and present them clearly to leadership for evaluation.Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to work well under deadlines.Strong decision-making skills, high energy, and genuine enthusiasm for the FP mission.High degree of initiative.Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects at once.Interest in working collaboratively as part of a highly capable nonprofit team.Excellent communication skills to effectively support the Chief Development Officer, President/CEO, and Board of Directors and engage prospects, donors, and other diverse constituencies.Strong commitment to Friendship Place’s mission.Working conditions:Other Details:Application Deadline:
