Senior Personal Finance Writer

to join our growing Content Marketing team. In this position, you’ll report to the Marketing Manager and help the team further Experian Consumer Service’s editorial goal of empowering consumers with actionable educational content to help them improve their finances and make smart financial decisions.Working with other writers, editors, and our in-house experts, you'll leverage your knowledge of personal finance to create compelling and informative content for Experian’s education blog. Successful candidates should be comfortable researching, pitching, and writing articles that take complex financial topics and translate them for an everyday audience.You'll have the opportunity to:Write high-quality, SEO optimized articles for our broad consumer audience.Pitch, plan and write short and long-form articles – sometimes with tight turnaround times.Identify topics and content opportunities that are aligned with our team’s publication initiatives.Identify and analyze internal data/data tools to create data-driven educational content.Assist fellow writers with brainstorming, fact-checking, and analysis.Collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders when necessary.Be able to pivot quickly in response to business needs.Qualifications At least 5+ years of writing experience, preferably for a consumer-facing publication with a focus on personal finance.Expertise in personal finance topics such as banking, insurance, credit scores, credit cards, and loans.Experience and comfort analyzing data, using your insights to create data-driven educational content.Knowledge of SEO best practices.Willingness to participate in Experian educational video content.Ability to share published writing samples that show previous projects and experience working in the field.Additional Information Experian offers a great compensation package and bonus plan, along with core benefits including full medical, dental, vision, and matching 401K.
