As a communications professional, you know how to inform and engage key audiences and help promote an organization's reputation. We're looking for an experienced communications specialist like you who is ready to share your knowledge and willing to win for the client and live our mission every day. Here, you'll use your consulting skills and experience to design, develop, produce, and consult on a variety of internal and external communication materials and media that supports public health.

As a communications specialist on our team, you'll provide leadership and specialized expertise in strategic customer engagement and communications planning. You will work closely across teams as well as with the healthcare client and communications offices to conceive, plan, develop, and coordinate relevant communications, events, and other content. You will be responsible for leading the team in developing and delivering a strategic and integrated engagement or communication plan for key activities and deliverables annually.

As the organizational advisor of all aspects of verbal and written communications, you'll oversee and author presentations connecting technical information with public health impact and deliver them to large audiences. You'll serve as a key point of contact for high visibility or high impact communications. You'll maintain awareness of platform workstreams to strategically inform communications priorities. You'll prepare and present metrics and feedback from customer engagements such as demos or platform overview sessions, to our client, and propose strategies for moving forward based on findings.

You Have:5+ years of experience writing and editing verbal communications and communications planning while adhering to organizational approval and clearance processesExperience working with or communicating about the data management cycle, including ingestion, storage, transformation, analysis, and visualizationExperience developing change management strategies and executing plans to improve the adoption of new technology products, programs, or policiesAbility to independently draft communications about complex technical information with a diverse set of stakeholders from business and technical organizations, and provide accurate and timely advice, opinions, and recommendations that will have a positive impact on the businessAbility to provide constructive feedback across system support teams and review of technical documentationAbility to effectively and comfortably present to public audiences and leadershipAbility to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirementsBachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:Experience communicating to federal-level public health professionalsExperience working with or communicating about using Microsoft Azure services for the data management cycleExperience creating dashboards in Power BI to communicate business metrics and aid in strategic decision-makingExperience with web content management systems, including SharePoint, WordPress, or Digital First EditorPossession of excellent verbal and written communications skillsMaster's degree

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
