Description: Lockheed Martin's Missiles and Fire Control business is experiencing growth at our campus in Grand Prairie, TX. We are seeking a computational designer with CG, 3D design and mechanical analysis to join our inter-disciplinary team. What You Will Be DoingYou will work closely with our group technical staff to develop computational design processes, pipelines and tools to explore mediation across Lockheed Martin systems. Core responsibilities include but are not limited to conducting research to enable and support projects through computational design technologies, develop 3D renderings and illustrations to inform R&D concepts to customers or leaders, implement novel computational design processes that generate differentiating concepts for future missile programs, collaborate with multidisciplinary team of engineers and artists, and communicate progress clearly.

This position is located in Grand Prairie, TexasBasic Qualifications:Expertise in SideFX Houdini, Blender, Modo, Grasshopper, or other procedural modeling toolsMinimum of two to three years of experience in progressive computational designKnowledge of additive manufacturing processes and technologiesProficiency in programming (python and/or C++)Extensive 3D and CAD modeling work experienceBS from an accredited college in engineering, industrial design, CS, or related degree/ relevant experienceThis position requires the ability to obtain a Secret ClearanceDesired Skills:Knowledge in the latest trends in design and technology specifically additive manufacturing technologies, 3D printing, CNC Milling or other computer to machine methods.Research experience in computational geometry, computational fabrication, computational intelligence, computational dynamics or related fieldsSkilled in proactively handling and executing several high-priority projects simultaneouslyHighly Collaborative and open to constructive feedbackExceptional verbal and written communication skills. Fluency and confidence in inspiring teammates and clients with data-driven rationale.Passion for tinkering, learning, and trying out new technologies and hardware.Appetite for experimentation. We are looking for people who are open to experimentation and who dare to take risks.Knowledge in 3D Animation, rendering, or scripting and understands artistic fundamentals of compositionSecurity Clearance Statement:

Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.Work Schedules:

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.Schedule for this Position:
