Grant Writer

Draft and submit grant applications, and to provide administrative oversight to grant research and application review. This position works closely with various departments and offices to help fund their priority projects and will work on a variety of deadline-oriented projects. Requirements: This person should have a track record of successful grant applications and demonstrated grant writing experience, a knowledge of grant resources and knowledge of Montezuma County and surrounding regions. Strong technical and grammatically accurate writing skills are a must and strong communication skills are critical to coordinate needed information between staff. Deadline-oriented, creative problem-solving, and technical layout knowledge are also required. This person must have excellent time management skills and be skilled using Microsoft Office with the ability to learn specialized grant writing/monitoring software.

Safety - Understanding and implements safe work habits. 8. Appearance - Maintains appearance and personal hygiene appropriate for the job. 9. Loyalty - Maintains allegiance to the work group, and represents employer in a positive, constructive manner. 10. Communication - Expresses thoughts clearly and concisely in writing and orally. 11. May be required to be part of an emergency operations team.

Essential Mental & Physical Demands: Extensive computer work and sitting, fast pace, multi-tasking, ability to drive, read, type, and have a normal range of vision and hearing. Some travel is required.

Wage: $57,500-$61,000 per year

Shifts: This is a full-time position 40 hours per week.
