Reporting into the Vice President of Marketing, this role will be critical in helping develop and ensuring brand voice and company messaging is consistent across all social media platforms. As the foremost expert on social media (both organic and paid) at the company, this role is responsible for crafting the annual social media strategy for a portion of Sunshine Mills brands, then implementing and executing that strategy alongside other members of the integrated digital marketing team. Responsible for working with the marketing team to develop effective Social Media content for assigned Sunshine Mills Brands Social Media platforms. This includes multiple campaigns per year as well as an always-on presence across a variety of social channels. To do this effectively, this role will manage the social media budget across all needs including: content development (both with internal brand production group and any external partners), paid social, external community management, social listening and reporting tools. This person knows the brand fan communities inside and out and is a critical member of our growing marketing team. This role is an awesome opportunity to make an immediate impact on the reputation of national brands to the consumer and work alongside a team to deliver cohesive marketing strategies.Sunshine Mills offers a competitive benefits package.Requirements:Bachelors degree in marketing, communications, related field, or relevant experience.5+ years of marketing experience and 2+ years of social media management.2-3 years working in an agency environment is a plus; experience in pet food marketing a plus.Experience planning and leading community initiatives is a plusAbility to identify and track relevant community KPIsExcellent verbal communication skillsExcellent writing skillsExcellent analytical skills, translating data into insightsTeammate mentality, works well with others striving for a common goalProficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator & Photoshop a plusExperience in Video Production a plus.Portfolio Links are accepted if included In resume.Responsibilities:Be the social media expert, create the annual Social Media Strategy for assigned Sunshine Mills Brands and integrate with overall marketing communications strategy, brand platforms and unique brand identity.Manage all day-to-day social media strategy and implementation, including curating content, managing paid promotion for social posts, managing contests/events, overseeing ambassador programs, and handling community communications.Monitor paid social adsManage brand reputation via social listening tool(s). Specifically, monitor praise and complaint trends and share with appropriate sales and management teams, and work with customer service to resolve consumer questions and concernsManage social analytics and reporting via social media management tool(s). Specifically, prepare and share reports, monitor, and track trends, and incorporate data into social media strategy insight action items for constant improvement.Researching industry trends, researching social media trends, updating online content calendar, creating project briefs, competitor research, and content/copy creation.Respond to top-tier influencers, partners, and creators across priority platforms in timely mannerStrategize our Evergreen social media calendar, including but not limited to:Copyediting for Evergreen contentMapping out the cadence of content with go-live dates on quarterly calendarsScheduling content and posting live where applicableKnows way around priority platforms Instagram and TikTok creator suite can easily whip up a Reel or TikTok using the native features. Is familiar with general design principles i.e. Rule of Thirds, Composition, ToneWork closely with the creative director, designers, and VP of Marketing in a proactive, creative, and collaborative effort to elevate our brands.Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing tasks as needed.Work hand-in-hand with creative producer to assist in Video Production projects.The Location:
