Under the supervision of the Director, the incumbent manages multiple projects and special events and assists the Department to implement directives, while ensuring goals, objectives, and initiatives are met. Manages the development and execution of projects, events and marketing campaigns including but not limited to VIP receptions, website content development, marketing materials, invitations, advertisements, signage, annual reports, and other projects and publications. Safeguards all confidential information. Must possess strong interpersonal skills, attention to details and accuracy, and ability to work independently and as part of a team. Bachelor’s degree required with at least three (3) years of project management work experience that incudes working on Communications or Marketing Campaigns. Must have experience with organizational communications, community outreach, and/or public relations. Excellent writing and administrative skills are required. Experience in project management and leading and working with teams within complex and culturally diverse organizations is a must. Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.

Must have strong writing analytical and multi-tasking skills, exhibit tact and diplomacy when dealing with sensitive and controversial subject matter.

Must be flexible and adaptable to time-sensitive deadlines, work well under pressure, and be available to work evenings and weekends if and when assigned.

Demonstrated ability to translate strategy into action and be able to prioritize, plan and carry out multiple assignments to achieve multiple objectives.

Possess superior skills in communication, diversity awareness, intuition, analytical ability, facilitation, persuasiveness, negotiation and common sense.
