Job Summary:Harlandale ISD is seeking a dynamic and creative Multimedia Marketing Coordinator to join our Communications Department. This position will be responsible for creating and managing engaging multimedia content across various platforms to support the district's marketing and communication goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in graphic design, video production, web development, and both digital and traditional marketing strategies.

Requirements:Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Marketing, Graphic Design, Communications, or a related field.Minimum of five (5) years of experience in graphic design, video production, web development, and digital marketing.Proficiency in both English and SpanishKnowledge of the commercial printing process and material production.Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects) or similar software.

Key Responsibilities:Graphic Design:Create visually appealing graphics for print and digital media, including brochures, flyers, banners, billboards, print ads, social media posts and website elements.Develop and maintain a consistent visual identity for the district.

Digital Marketing:Develop and execute digital marketing campaigns, including email marketing, social media advertising, and online promotions.Manage and optimize paid and organic advertising campaigns on platforms such as Google Ads, Facebook Ads, and geofencing.Analyze and report on the performance of digital marketing efforts and adjust strategies as needed.

Traditional Marketing:Coordinate and manage marketing materials, such as banners, posters and ads.Oversee the distribution of marketing materials to schools and events.Coordinate with in-house printing services and outside vendors for the printing and distribution of publications and projects.

Brand Management:Ensure all marketing materials align with the district's brand guidelines and messaging.Work collaboratively with departments and campuses to support their marketing needs.

Web Development:Maintain and update the district's website with fresh and engaging content.Ensure the website is user-friendly, visually appealing, ADA compliant and optimized for search engines (SEO).Strong understanding of web development tools and Content Management Systems.

Content Creation:Develop compelling content that tells the story of Harlandale ISD's mission, vision, programs and achievements.Provide comprehensive coverage of school events, including sports, performances, ceremonies and community meetings for use in marketing materials and social media.Photograph, edit and publish event highlights to maximize engagement.Stay current with industry trends and incorporate innovative ideas into marketing strategies.

Video Production:Produce, shoot, and edit high-quality videos for promotional, informational and educational purposes.Manage video projects from concept to completion, including scripting, storyboarding, filming and post-production.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :Proven ability to manage projects from concept to completion.Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures.Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed for event coverage.Ability to meet established deadlines.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong customer service skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the Director of Communication, Executive Director of Human Resources, or designee.

Supervisory Responsibilities:Campus and Athletic PR Reps:Supervise and provide guidance to campus and athletic PR representatives to ensure cohesive and effective communication strategies.Coordinate efforts to gather and disseminate information about campus and athletic events and achievements.Supervise the implementation of district, campus and department logos across the district and the correct use of them.

Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:Equipment Used: Standard office equipment including computer, laptop, iPad, digital camera, prompter technology, lighting studio, video camera, tripod and other recording devices.Posture: Prolonged sitting; occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling and twisting.Motion: Repetitive hand motions, frequent keyboarding and use of mouse; occasional reaching.Lifting: Occasional lifting and carrying.Environment: May work prolonged or irregular hours; occasional districtwide and statewide travel. Occasional weekend and holiday hours.Mental Demands: Work with frequent interruptions; ability to multitask, maintain emotional control under stress.
