Sr. Graphic Designer - Columbia, SC
Position Summary
This position requires a multi-talented person who is well-versed in all functional aspects of graphic design, branding, and communications. The Senior Graphic Designer spearheads the design and production of all creative projects from initial concept and planning, through execution and production. This includes print and digital projects. The position requires excellent organizational skills, accuracy, and proactiveness. The Sr. Graphic Designer acts as the organization's thought-leader on visual branding and design. This role employs current best practices, advises business units to ensure company brand guidelines are followed, and is directly responsible for the positive image/brand of the company through our creative assets.
Key Responsibilities
A heavy focus on the creation of original consumer products packaging and product catalog design, managed from initial ideation phases through final productionCreation and execution of graphic materials for point of purchase merchandising displays (POP), trade show displays, sales collateral, sales presentations, print/digital advertising, and online product contentPlanning and production of high-quality product and lifestyle photography content for multiple national and international brandsLead for storing and organizing all content via third party digital asset management platforms (Dropbox, Brandfolder, etc)Creation of physical mockups for consumer products packaging conceptsLead for execution of online content and product merchandising via internal and customer websitesOrganization and shipment of branded seasonal trade show boothsDevelop and maintain an understanding of existing product offerings and opportunitiesUnderstand customer and internal brand requirements and maintain brand consistency throughout all projectsAssist Product Manager in the new product development process to ensure all creative elements are delivered to suppliers on time for product launches/updatesLead corporate branding and branding communication at officeCoordinate with third party vendors to ensure projects are completed with the appropriate specifications and qualityEnsure that all deadlines are met and that materials created are to brand standardBe self-motivated, able to work independently with minimal supervision, and able to multi-task on several projects efficientlyAbility to develop and maintain sustainable processes for creative requests, project tracking, etc.Requirements
Portfolio required with applicationSuperior skills with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other professional design tools5+ years' experience in graphic design and/or marketing designBS/BA in design, visual arts, or related fieldsProven ability to collaborate with design, development, and marketing disciplinesKnowledge and understanding of composition & colorProficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)Excellent communication (written/ verbal/ presentation) and organizational skillsProven track record of excelling in a fast-paced environment, maintaining quality and creativity with competing deadlines.Ability to multi-task several projects at one timePackaging and catalog design experience is preferredVideo production experience is a plusMust be a team player with a can-do attitudeSpecifics:
