Guardian Recovery is a nationwide leader in behavioral healthcare, providing substance use disorder and mental health treatment for adults and adolescents. We currently treat about 600 patients per month at our nationwide facilities and field between 4,000 and 5,000 new patient contacts monthly.

We are seeking a skilled Email and SMS Marketing Specialist to join our team at Guardian Recovery. This role focuses on creating and managing email, SMS, and digital follow-up campaigns to engage potential clients, maintain connections with our alumni community, and foster B2B referral relationships. The ideal candidate will have expertise in CRM systems, particularly Salesforce, and experience with various digital marketing tools and strategies.
This position plays a crucial role in our patient acquisition and retention strategies, requiring a blend of technical expertise, creative thinking, and a deep understanding of our target audience's needs and challenges.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field3-5 years of experience in email and SMS marketing, preferably in healthcare or behavioral healthExpert knowledge of Salesforce CRM and email marketing platforms (MailChimp, Constant Contact)Proficiency in marketing automation and analytics toolsStrong data analysis and reporting skillsPreferred Qualifications:
Experience in addiction treatment or mental health services marketingCertifications in Salesforce, email marketing, or digital marketingKnowledge of behavioral health patient journey and treatment processesResponsibilities
Develop strategic email and SMS marketing plans aligned with organizational goalsCreate and manage targeted contact lists for various audience segmentsDesign and implement multi-touch drip campaigns and remarketing strategiesCollaborate with the alumni director to create engagement campaigns for the recovery communityWrite compelling email and SMS copy tailored to different audience segmentsCoordinate with in-house creative teams to develop visually appealing campaign assetsEnsure all content adheres to brand guidelines and regulatory compliance standardsManage email marketing platforms (MailChimp, Constant Contact) and SMS marketing toolsImplement and manage marketing automation workflows using Zapier and other middlewareMaintain data integrity across all marketing systemsSet up and monitor KPIs for all email and SMS campaignsConduct A/B testing to optimize open rates, click-through rates, and conversionsAnalyze campaign performance data and provide regular reports to leadershipImplement data-driven improvements to enhance campaign effectivenessDevelop and manage a comprehensive alumni communication strategyCreate targeted campaigns to support ongoing recovery and prevent relapseIdentify at-risk alumni through engagement metrics and facilitate readmission when necessaryDevelop and maintain a database of B2B referral contactsCreate and execute targeted campaigns to increase referrals from healthcare providers and other relevant businessesTrack and report on B2B referral program performanceEnsure all marketing activities comply with HIPAA and other relevant healthcare regulationsStay updated on email and SMS marketing best practices and industry trendsImplement measures to maintain list hygiene and manage opt-ins/opt-outsWork closely with the admissions team to align marketing efforts with admission goalsCollaborate with the clinical team to ensure accurate representation of treatment programs in marketing materialsCoordinate with IT department for technical support and system integrations
Additional Information:
The successful candidate will have access to in-house graphic design, web development, paid media, and copywriting departments to support campaign creation and execution.
Pay: $70,000 - $95,000 annuallly
Schedule: Full Time
