SUMMARY

In this role, you will help develop, execute, and monitor marketing projects across a variety of channels. You will also assist in defining and advancing awareness-centric goals, objectives, and strategies. This includes the ability to collaborate with subject matter experts across the organization. Additionally, in this role, you will perform duties that support the needs of the Marketing department as a whole.

To achieve success in this role, applicants must have exceptional attention to detail, effective time management, strong project management, organizational, writing and verbal communication skills.

This role involves developing design assets, assisting in project management for the department, editing content, crafting (SEO)-informed copywriting, contributing to brand awareness efforts, and more.

In addition, the Marketing Specialist assures compliance with all SVB policies and procedures, as well as, all applicable state and federal banking regulations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIESThe Marketing Specialist will be responsible for assisting in gaining market traffic and generating brand awareness through content creation and promotion.Aid in the development of advertising and marketing campaigns, playing a substantial role in the creation of design content within the department and engaging target audiences through all channels in all forms (including blogs, digital ad copy, emails, landing pages, slide decks, social media postings, etc.) in support of demand generation, brand awareness, and usage goalsWork closely with other departments to ensure alignment of marketing strategies with overall business goals.Work with Digital Marketing Analyst to ensure that SEO and SMO strategies are effectively implemented with any supplemental content created.Assist the marketing team in identifying tasks during team meetings, assigning to team members, and ensuring timely completion through the Asana platform.Be the first point of contact for requests coming into the department via e-mail or in-person requests. Effectively evaluate requests to identify where the priority lands in the team's queue.Coordinate and participate in community events, sponsorships, and other outreach activities.Stay up to date on new and existing content tools and trendsAdditional responsibilities include: lead contributor for the intranet, promotional item purchaser and distributor, photography and video contributor, assist various departments with projects, etc.

Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism or similarA minimum of 1 year experience in marketing, communications, or similarKnowledge of the following content and design tools a plus, but not necessary: WordPress, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Hootsuite, Asana, CanvaExcellent computer skills and familiarity with MS Office SuiteGood knowledge of various content platforms such as social media, blogs, and print mediaStrong understanding of content practices such as SEO, SMO, and PPCExcellent written and verbal communication skills, Heave on proofreading and editing skillsCurrent driver's license and a vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage if required to drive in the course of performing assigned duties and responsibilities.
