ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented junior SEO specialist to join our growing team!

This role will support Bionews' SEO efforts across our network of health websites. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of good on-page and off-page SEO practice, experience conducting keyword research, and knowledge of SEO tools such as Semrush and GA4. You will work with the Director of SEO to analyze traffic trends, develop content plans based on keyword research, contribute to a strong linking strategy, and optimize our web presence.

This is a full-time, salaried, remote position (40 hours per week) reporting to the Director of SEO. Preference will be given to applicants in the U.S., but strong international candidates will be considered.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIESConduct keyword research to identify content opportunities.Develop content plans for our editorial team based on keyword research.Analyze traffic trends, user behavior, and monitor and report on key SEO performance metrics using Google Analytics 4 (GA4).Collaborate with writers and editors to ensure SEO best practices are implemented.Perform on-page SEO optimizations.Analyze existing content to identify areas for improvement.Utilize SEO tools such as Screaming Frog, Semrush, etc., for site audits and competitive analysis.Stay up to date with the latest SEO trends and best practices.ABOUT YOU

You have experience with keyword research and SEO data analysis tools.You are proficient in using GA4 to analyze website traffic and user behavior.You are familiar with SEO tools such as Screaming Frog, Semrush, aHREFS, or similar.You have a basic understanding of HTML and website content management systems (CMS).You are eager to learn and grow your SEO skillsYou have experience using Google Search ConsoleYou are up to date on SEO trends and AI tools.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Bachelor's degree in marketing, relevant SEO certifications; or 4+ years' direct SEO experience: or combination2+ years' experience working in SEO in an in-house or agency role, preferable in digital health publishingSKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
