The Art Director is responsible for design and creative strategy on Agency campaigns for various clients & brands, with the end goal of creating campaigns and concepts that have a positive impact on the consumer. We are looking for someone to work a temporary assignment with us starting in October for 4-5 months.

Responsibilities

Manage, direct, and work alongside the Agency's design and creative teams to meet and surpass client goals and objectivesCreate and manage the production of design mocks for social & digital campaigns, websites and custom applications, print, packaging, presentations, internal documents, brand identity and moreParticipate in new client business pitches and strategiesCommunicate well with cross functional teams and with clients to accomplish desired goals and objectivesWork with the Agency's creative leadership to establish brand and campaign guidelines and overall design directionAccurately scope hours needed for successful completion of a variety of projectsWork and improve on the following disciplines: campaign concepts, websites, custom applications, branding, video graphics, print, packaging, and more.Think creatively and "out of the box" to produce new ideasExecute and manage all visual design stages from concept to final hand-offManage time effectively and efficientlyEstablish art direction and vision for a variety of projects and deliverablesLead brainstorming sessions and creation of integrated campaign conceptsEnsure the work reflects the client's business and brand requirementsEnsure concepts are aligned with overarching campaign strategyWork closely and collaboratively with the creative team to develop strategic concepts and executions from creative brief through completion of projectAble to take creative direction and criticismPresent and explain concepts, answer questions and communicate with clientsTravel as necessary for photoshoots and presentationsManage outsourcing and freelance resources as requiredRequirements

9+ years professional design experience in an agency role or environmentBachelor of Arts degree or equivalent educationHave the ability to come up with big and small creative ideasDemonstrable design and creative skills with a strong portfolioWork in an open, highly collaborative, aggressive and deadline-driven team environmentProficient in the use of InDesign, Illustrator and PhotoshopKnowledge or understanding of HTML and CSS coding a plusExperience with printing process including but not limited to releasing mechanical files, signing proofs, and attending press-checksHighly organized with an ability to adapt quickly to changing prioritiesStrong understanding of strategic directionHandle multiple projects with total accuracy and attention to detailExcellent communication and presentation skillsProven work experience as a digital & traditional designer & directorProficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop & IllustratorExcellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interactionAbility to solve problems creatively and effectivelyMust be located in Colorado, Idaho, Tennessee or California (preferably in Southern California)Pay Range Based on Experience Level: $60-$65/hour
