Insurance Sales and Risk Advisor

for our team in

Lafayette, LA .

Reporting to a Profit Center Leader or executive, individual primary responsibilities are in the sell and renewal of business.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Identifying prospects for business from existing and prospective clientsMaintaining a consistently strong and active new business pipelineDeveloping new relationships with individuals responsible for insurance and risk management decisions at prospective clientsAggressively identifying and pursuing cross-selling opportunities amongst existing clientsObtaining referral leads from existing clientsParticipating and taking leadership roles in targeted civic and professional associationsDesigning individual prospect sales strategies and developing unique prospect programsUnderstanding our value proposition for each opportunity and aligning the firm's resources and expertise with individual client sales strategiesMaintaining consistent and high-quality touch points with clients and prospectsProviding proactive risk management advice to existing clients and resolving client issues before they become "problems"Championing the proper advocacy of claimsContributing to the performance management and career development of team membersPerform other duties as assignedWHAT YOU'LL NEED:

BS, BA or 5-10 years plus relevant work experience in insurance or business to business salesBachelor's degree in a business or financial related disciplineProficient with Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)Exceptional telephone demeanorAbility to maintain a high level of confidentiality1 - 3 years' experience in a similar positionInsurance License (P&C and/or L&H)CIC designation (preferred)WHAT WE OFFER:
