We set big goals and are looking for people who can help us reach and exceed them by working with suppliers to enhance our selection and maximize product availability.We are looking for a strong Vendor Manager to join Amazon's exciting and fast-paced team leading the go-to-market strategy and building innovative activations and partnerships for shoppable entertainment properties like Thursday Night Football, Rings of Power, and more. Additionally, this person will work across our Hardgoods division to build best in class external partnerships which lead to new brand-burnishing opportunities and launches.Candidates must have proven analytical capabilities and project management skills, great attention to detail, the ability to effectively prioritize and multi-task and a proven record of driving category growth. They must be an effective leader and communicator in working with some of Amazon.com's most important partners and vendors, as well as with internal colleagues and cross-functional leaders. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a passion for retail and a high level of flexibility and commitment.The successful candidate will be able to:Lead complex, Tier-1 Activations in partnership with marketing and content orgs (Amazon music, Prime Video, etc.)Build process to scale on-boarding and growth across a large number of brands and projectsCraft compelling business narratives and strategic Go-To-Market plans for high-profile launchesHave a thorough understanding of the industry, seasonality and business trends/events, and continually monitor competitor/industry developmentsMaximize Amazon's business profitability and selection expansion opportunitiesHave a complete understanding of the customer needs, both existing and potential, and use that knowledge to advocate for and drive delivery of site features that provide Amazon customers with an unparalleled shopping experienceCreate go to market plans for new opportunities and develop and execute project plans for the launch of new features, incorporating merchandising and pricing strategiesCoordinate cross-functional teams, and communicate with internal and external stakeholders, while meeting tight deadlinesConduct financial analysis of business opportunities to meet and exceed revenue and profitability targetsBASIC QUALIFICATIONS5+ years of account management, project or program management or buying experienceBachelor's degreeKnowledge of Microsoft Access or SQLExperience driving internal cross-team collaborationExperience using data to influence business decisionsExperience with business analysis and P&L managementPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSExperience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teamsAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
