The Newbury Boston at One Newbury Street, located in the premier shopping and dining neighborhood of Boston’s Back Bay is an iconic property originally opened in 1927 as one of the first Ritz-Carlton hotels in the U.S. and most recently was the Taj Boston. The building was recently transformed into a 286-room luxury hotel with 16,000-sq-ft of stunning event spaces, signature dining experiences and a reimagined front entrance on Newbury Street.
OverviewThe Senior Marketing Manager is responsible for overseeing all integrated marketing efforts to include; updating website content, public relations and sales event management, creative for sales materials, social media coordination, and adhering to brand standards for all sales and marketing efforts.
This position is 100% on-site at The Newbury Boston Hotel.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute strategic marketing and public relations programs to drive revenue for the Newbury Boston guest rooms, food and beverage, group and catering sales and restaurants.
Support local and national media buying via print, radio and internet marketing.
Content creation
Creative and graphic design for sales collateral.
Develop and publicize hotel packages, events, programs and promotions
Marketing strategy and implementation
Event Development and Management
Social Media Management
Public Relations Development
Brand Management
Budget Management
Website content maintenance for www.thenewburyboston.com
E-Marketing and On-line Tracking analysis capability
Qualifications
A BA/BS degree in marketing, business communication, and experience in a related field preferred.
At least 2 years of progressive hospitality marketing experience.
Must be skilled and proficient with PC/MAC operating systems: (Excel, Access, MS Word, Basic HTML, MS Front Page, Adobe Photoshop, and Illustrator).
Must have excellent public speaking skills, organizational and interpersonal skills.
Must have advanced print publication, media layout and web site design experience.
Long hours sometimes required
Light work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
