ABOUT THE POSITIONVHB's I-64 offices (Richmond, VA; Virginia Beach, VA; Williamsburg, VA) are seeking a Water Resources Designer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic team, across diverse disciplines, giving you exposure to a wide variety of projects in size and scope.ResponsibilitiesWork within a team of professionals in developing site civil engineering plans and specifications for a multitude of environmental, land development, transportation, and water resources projects

Conduct a wide array of water resources related studies and analysis including: Hydrologic and hydraulic analysis of stormwater systems, analysis and design of conveyance systems, design of stormwater management facilities, coastal impacts, and floodplain analysisPrepare reports for stormwater analyses and designsConduct data collection and field workAnalysis of impaired watersheds and identification of potential areas for stormwater treatmentSupport projects related to stormwater permitting compliance for municipal, industrial and transportation clientsSkills and AttributesExcellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skillsSelf-motivatedAttention to detailAbility to think criticallyAbility to multitaskExcels at working in a team environmentQualificationsBS in Civil Engineering0-1 years of professional environmental/civil engineering experienceFamiliarity with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling and analysis, water quality analysisFamiliarity with stormwater management design, Low Impact Development/green infrastructure design, floodplain management, storm sewer design, grading and site designFE preferredWe are VHB!
