Responsibilities

The School of Management at New York Institute of Technology, NYC, is looking for

Adjunct faculty to teach Data Interaction and Visualization courses for SOM graduate and undergraduate students at its NYC campus.

The instructor will teach courses related to Visual Analytics, covering data exploration, data appreciation, data cleaning, data analytics and data visualization to draw out business insights.

The instructor will guide students in practical applications of visual analytics through projects and case studies, using industry standard tools. In particular, the instructor will provide hands-on training and demonstration for Tableau Desktop, Tableau Prep and Power BI,

including preparation of interactive dashboards and storytelling with data.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.

Demonstrated experience in visual analytics and data visualization, including proficiency in Tableau Desktop, Tableau Prep, and Power BI.

Prior teaching experience at the college or university level is highly desirable, as well as experience with Zoom/online teaching.

Industry experience in data analytics or a related field is a plus.

Candidates must be available to teach in-person courses during weekdays and evenings on our New York City campus, in addition to teaching on Zoom or fully online (asynchronous).

In compliance with local legislation as well as to provide greater transparency to candidates, the annual base salary range for this position is listed. New York Tech considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate experience/expertise, education/training, key skills, geographic location, internal peer equity as well as market, organizational considerations and/or applicable collective bargaining agreement when extending an offer. Adjunct Faculty offered hourly rate is contingent on applicable rank.

USD $95.00/Hr.

Maximum Salary

USD $104.00/Hr.
