Are you ready for your next career challenge?The National Security Sector is seeking an AutoCAD Drafter with extensive knowledge and experience in AutoCAD design with experience in themanufacturing of telecommunication systems providing services to Government organizations in Augusta GA. The AutoCAD Drafter will be responsible for developing drawing packages geared toward the efficiency of installation and integration procedures at each of the five Regional Hub Nodes throughout the world.

Responsibilities:Validates drawing packages for accuracyCreates rack assembly schematics from rack elevation drawingsIdentifies rack assembly equipment requirements from rack elevation to meet customer specifications and ensures the correct parts are orderedResponsible for engineering assemblies and subassemblies that includes all mechanical and electrical components and requirementsIdentifies material requirements for mechanical parts and certifies they are in compliance with the current mil-standardDesign mechanical parts based on function and ensure they are manufactured to meet design specifications and dimension tolerancesDevelops cable assembly drawings that identify components and pin-out connectivity in accordance with industry and equipment standardsDevelops and maintains all documentation for a project build that includes Regional Hub Node floor layouts, wiring diagrams, rack assembly schematics, rack part drawings, power distribution schematics, power component drawings, ground power schematics, modification kit instructions, inter-rack cable list, and intra-rack cable listMonitors the rack assembly build and updates rack assembly drawings as required to reflect any acceptable changes requiredDraft modification kit instructions and cable list based on rack elevations that identify changes to current rack design for installation at Regional Hub NodeDevelop test procedures for network and satellite equipment to validate they operate within required specificationsConducts Performance Acceptance testing on Networking and Satellite systems

Basic Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree and 3 or more years relevant experience. Additional directly related experience can offset the degree requirements.Must have an active Secret security clearanceDirect design experience using CAD software on industry projectsAbility to work in a team environment with others including, but not limited to, Project Managers, Engineers, Designers, and drafters in multi-discipline groups.Strong attention to detail and work product quality.Knowledge of drafting principles, techniques, and procedures.Must have, or can obtain US PassportMust be able to travel up to 30%

Preferred Qualifications:Knowledge of or background in the telecommunications field with emphasis on satellite communication systems.

This position is covered under the Service Contract Act and is subject to minimum wage requirements as well as the minimum Health and Welfare benefit. Leidos will ensure that all provisions are met through their wages and benefits. The pay for this position will be between $29.30/hr. to $31.25/hr.EIO2024Original Posting Date:
