We are seeking a

North America Internal Communications Specialist

to join our Oak Brook-based North American Communications and Media Relations Team. This person will be responsible for all internal communications across the region, ensuring that global messaging is effectively transmitted at the regional level, and developing region-appropriate communications. They will report to the North America Communications and Media Relations Team Manager.

Responsibilities

Own, craft, and execute vibrant internal communications plans aimed at fostering employee engagement. This includes the creation of compelling messaging and associated assets like captivating audio-visual materials and informative newsletters and more.

Design and implement internal campaigns that foster a sense of community and boost employee engagement.Unleash your creativity to develop and write content for a variety of internal communications platforms, such as our employee news portal, our employee magazine, newsletters and more.Perform meticulous proofreading and editing of all communications materials to ensure clarity, accuracy, and professionalism in messaging.Advise executives and key stakeholders on effective communication practices, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and enhancing stakeholder engagement.Bring campaigns to life by creating multimedia content.Champion the successful deployment and adaptation of global internal communications initiatives for the North America region and stand as a pillar of support for our extended global communications team.Join forces with regional colleagues across diverse operating segments and central functions to weave engaging news, stories, and other activities that boost employee engagement.Team up with Digital Communications colleagues to guarantee that the North America sections of the Intranet are top-notch.Dive deep into research and prepare comprehensive briefing materials, including presentations.Energize regional employee events, including Town Halls.Keep a keen eye on ongoing projects and manage them effectively.Manage vendor relationships.This position pays: $78,375 - $104,500 plus any applicable bonus (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)

This is a hybrid position with requirements of coming into the Oak Brook office at a minimum of twice per week.

Qualifications

Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Humanities, Business, Social Science, or related field.Minimum of six (6+) years of experience in communications, writing, marketing, media relations, or a directly related field (in-house or communications consultancy)Preferred QualificationsExcellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.Ability to develop and translate ideas into compelling stories.Solid understanding of social and traditional media channels.Strong organizational and analytical skills and attention to detail.Flexibility and ability to thrive in a fast-paced dynamic and multi-cultural environment.Ability to multi-task and work under tight deadlines.Proficient Microsoft Office skills (PowerPoint, Excel, and Word) and ability to learn new software and databases quickly.
