Harley-Davidson Motor Company is headquartered in Milwaukee, WI, where the first H-D factory was built in 1903 - a wooden shed in the backyard of the Davidson's family home. Job SummaryThis position is part of a team focused on the successful development and execution of brand experiences for Harley-Davidson consumers. The Harley-Davidson Experiential Marketing Team delivers numerous world-class experiences across the U.S. throughout the year for riders and non-riders, and this leadership position plays a crucial role.

As the Experiential Marketing Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing annual planning, budgeting, KPI tracking, logistical and operational aspects of experiential marketing programs. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful planning, execution, and optimization of immersive brand experiences.

Job ResponsibilitiesAnnual Planning:

Lead development of overarching plans, including experiential strategy, KPIs, budget development, assets, and logistical needs.

Oversee Company Owned Vehicle fleet needs, selection, ordering and management.

Liaison with product marketing to understand key products and messages, secure products (including company-owned vehicle fleet, parts and accessories, and apparel), and drive integration into experiential plans.

Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in experiential marketing.

Generate reports and presentations to communicate plans as well as results and insights to stakeholders.

Operations:

Capital asset planning from creation and deployment to maintenance and retirement.

Oversee recruiting, training, and management of promotional staff, brand ambassadors, and event personnel for experiential activations, ensuring alignment with brand standards and objectives.

Identify, negotiate with, and manage relationships with vendors, suppliers, and service providers to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services for experiential activations.

Implement quality control measures to ensure the consistency and effectiveness of third-party partners, conducting post-event evaluations and feedback sessions to identify areas for improvement.

Oversees ongoing management, maintenance, and disposition of company-owned vehicle fleet.

Manage budgets effectively to optimize resources and achieve desired outcomes.

Measurement and Analysis:

Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the effectiveness of experiential marketing initiatives.

Manage lead capture systems and processes.

Implement measurement tools and methodologies to track and analyze performance.

Generate insights and recommendations based on data analysis to optimize future events and improve ROI.

Team Leadership and Collaboration:

Lead a cross-functional team of both internal employees and external partners, including experts in creative design, trucking and logistics, event production, staffing, fabrication, etc., in the development of experiential marketing assets, trucking/logistics, event operational planning.

Partner with other Experiential Team leaders to foster a collaborative and innovative work environment where team members are empowered to contribute ideas and excel in their roles.

Education RequirementsBachelor's Degree Required

Education SpecificationsBachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or related field.

Experience Requirements

Proven (8 years) experience in operations management, event planning, or experiential marketing, with a strong understanding of operations and logistics.

Minimum of 1 year managing people.

Strong partner/vendor management skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.

Proficiency in budget management and financial analysis, with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.

Demonstrates a sound ability to lead, collaborate, and gain results through the influence of peers and senior leaders. Has a proven ability to work in a highly matrixed organization.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering effective collaboration with leadership, cross-functional teams, and external partners.

Flexibility and adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, meeting tight deadlines and overcoming challenges.

Able to travel and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by event schedules.

The pay range shown represents the national average pay range for this role. Your pay may be more or less than the stated range and is dependent on your geographic location and level of experience.
