The Opportunity :Are you a storyteller who understands the impact of well-crafted communications? The University of Central Florida's College of Undergraduate Studies Communication and Marketing team seeks a full-time Writer l who conceptualizes, researches, writes, and publishes content for various platforms, including web, social media, and presentations. The position is key in supporting strategic marketing and communications strategies directly impacting students, faculty, and staff. This position may work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.

Responsibilities:

Write engaging, high-quality content for multiple channels (e.g., email, newsletters, and social media) targeted to the College of Undergraduate Studies' audiences, including students, alumni, faculty, and staff.

Assist in the development, execution, and measurement of communication plans.

Identify, research, and conduct interviews for articles that boost brand awareness.

Collaborate with stakeholders to create an editorial calendar.

Edit content to ensure voice, grammar, and style are clear.

Research and stay up to date on current trends, events, and cultural references to incorporate into writing.

Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications :Bachelor's or Master's degree and 0+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219. Click here for more information

Preferred Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Communications, Marketing, Journalism).

Proven experience developing written communications to reach target audiences.

Proven experience collaborating on content creation and strategic communications processes.

Knowledge of AP Style writing for crafting copywriting across multiple channels (e.g., newsletters and presentations).

Additional Application Materials Required:Two writing samples that demonstrate the ability to write across multiple communications platforms (e.g., newsletters, presentations, etc.)
