Industrial Air Filtration (IAF) is looking for a

Sr. CAD Designer I

to provide innovative design solutions for a customer's dust collection needs. They should possess the ability to communicate this through our manufacturing facilities. An ideal candidate will be able to work in a collaborative manner when paired with an engineer and be self-sufficient to complete designs/drawings that meet a customer's requirements while staying consistent with IAF design standards.

This role will be working with new product development projects and improving current product lines through engineering change orders.

Role Responsibilities:Generate CAD assemblies using standard Donaldson components along with using the available resources to customize components to fit an end user's needs.

Detail and communicate designs with technical drawings so they can be manufactured across multiple manufacturing facilities.

Generate innovative ideas/sketches for designs to be based off.

Use knowledge and experience to provide feedback to improve current/future IAF designs for both quality and cost effectiveness.

Demonstrate thoroughness by reviewing drawings/models for yourself and others that will meet the IAF design standards in addition to the customer specifications.

Provide quality improvement on products by initiating engineering change orders and working with principal engineers to ensure the changes fit the overall goal of the product line.

Generate new products based upon the project's scope and meet deadlines to ensure the project is kept on track. This may also mean refreshing current products to stay in line with our current standards.

Minimum Qualifications:Associates degree, technical certificate, or relevant experience

3-6 years CAD design experience (Sheet metal design preferred)

Preferred Qualifications:SolidWorks design experience (CSWA is a plus).

Experience with Teamcenter, NX, or other PLM software.

Ideal applicant should be mechanically inclined and be familiar with sheet metal fabrication and manufacturing environments. Having electrical fundamentals is also preferred.

Use communication and interpersonal skills with technical and non-technical personnel in both oral and written formats as needed to complete project objectives.

Can use problem solving skills to address issues encountered on projects and work with personnel to get the necessary information through the correct points of contact.

Ability to efficiently manage multiple projects at one time in a deadline driven environment.

Competent with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Someone who shows initiative and ownership in their work along with being self-motivated to carry out tasks with minimal guidance.
