Technical Trainer, Learning Experience Designer

The Learning Experience Designer (LXD) will play a key role in architecting a learning program for Lexmark's Printer, Cloud, and IoT technology product portfolio. The learning program will focus on developing and applying technical knowledge of Printer, Cloud, and IoT products to be installed in customer environments. The LXD will collaborate with subject matter experts (SME), partners, and stakeholders to analyze learning opportunities and create an interactive learning experience. The learning experience will include some combination of on-line, virtual, face to face, and hybrid.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Drive strategy for Lexmark's technical training learning experience.Architect a learning environment for technical administrators of Lexmark products.Create compelling course content and situational learning activities which enhance retention and knowledge transfer.Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Marketing Portfolio managers, and Service Delivery teams to identify target audience's training needs.Promote collaboration, partnership and relationships among the participants and stakeholders in thelearning design project.Apply systematic instructional design methodology to develop learning program (ie ADDIE).Develop measurement strategy to demonstrate effectiveness of learning program.Communicate effectively in visual, oral, and written form.

EXPERIENCE AND BACKGROUND:

Ideal candidate will have :

3+ year experience supporting atraining organizationTechnical skill withHardware, Cloud, Software, and / or IoT infrastructure and applicationsExperience with IT solutions partners andunderstanding of pain pointsAbility to translate technical concepts, information, and jargon into nontechnical termsAbility to write effectively copy, instructional text, audio scripts/video scriptsVisual design skills (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator) and ability to storyboardExperience with Articulate 360

Critical Skills :Project management skillsAbility to work cross-functionally with all areas of the business and with partnersAbility to write effectively copy, instructional text, audio scripts/video scriptsExcellent skills in MS Office Suite including word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software. MS Visio and MS Access may be beneficial

EDUCATION:

Preferred:BA/BS degree in Business, Technology, Training / Education or equivalent experience
