THE TEAM

Ticketmaster is the industry leading ticket marketplace for sports, music, theater and other live entertainment, and driving innovation in how tickets are sold. The Global Communications team is responsible for extending a unified narrative across all internal and external stakeholder groups and has direct oversight of external communications, media relations and employee communication. Within that team, our social media practice supports the business while educating and engaging the public.

THE JOB

We're looking for a dynamic, experienced communications professional to fill the Director of Social Media - North America role. This position will be responsible for creating and executing a cohesive social strategy supporting our North American business. This is a highly collaborative role requiring confidence to engage and build consensus with functional leaders at all levels.

As the head of our social team, you'll drive strategy, content generation, digital marketing and community management across organic and paid social. You'll bring high-level thought leadership and storytelling skills that reflect a deep understanding of what's happening in sports, music, and popular culture to tell the Ticketmaster story.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

Digital Strategy:

Craft and execute compelling social media strategies to elevate our brand, educate fans and support events across owned and paid media.Content Development:

Creative strategy and concepting, asset development and publishing strategy to ensure posts are captivating, on-brand, and tailored for each platform.Community Engagement:

Connect with our online community, engaging with fans and followers in a timely and authentic manner.Influencer Relations:

Oversee team's work with relevant social creators to produce and amplify stories across sports, music and culture.Know Your Audience:

Dive into social analytics and audience research to gain insights into public perspectives, identifying barriers and preferences to inform a refined approachSocial Expert:

Maintain a deep understanding of the latest social media trends, tools, and innovations, and apply them to our strategy.Team Leadership:

Mentor and inspire a dynamic team of social media specialists, fostering a culture of creativity and growth.Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Partner with broader communications, marketing and creative teams to develop top-notch content and unforgettable campaigns. Work with relevant stakeholders to maintain and evolve effective category specific social playbooks for music, sports, and theater.Agency Management:

Manage relationships with external agencies to ensure they deliver creatively on brand objectives and provide ROI.WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (or TECHNICAL SKILLS)

10+ years of relevant experience in communications, social media, content strategy and/or community management within the entertainment or live events industry.Proven success developing and pitching impactful and effective creative conceptsExceptional story-telling skills that are rooted in a love for sports, music and/or popular cultureCreative thinker with deep understanding of the social media landscape and how it can support innovative strategiesA keen ability to analyze data and learn from insightsYOU (BEHAVIORAL SKILLS)

The expected compensation for this position is:$145,000.00 USD - $182,000.00 USD** Pay is based on a number of factors including market location, qualifications, skills, and experience.
