The Marketing Strategist is responsible for the development and implementation of marketing strategies to promote the masters degree in Nursing Leadership and specific academic degree programs. The Marketing Strategist will conduct extensive research to identify new marketing opportunities and utilize marketing tactics to attract and retain students enrolled in Nursing and other degree programs. In order to strengthen the university and progress its mission, the university dedicates itself to intentional and ongoing reflection to meeting the evolving needs of Nevada State University, the surrounding communities, and the State of Nevada.We seek applicants who are passionate about working with this promising student population and collaborating with faculty and staff across departments to make a lasting impact in developing our institution and our community.We encourage you to highlight your background in fostering an inclusive campus culture and supporting the success of students who are historically underrepresented in higher education.Primary Responsibilities:Conduct research to obtain marketing and recruitment data.Design, plan, and implement comprehensive marketing plans for degree programs.Work with the agency of record to develop strategies and marketing campaigns to attract students to the nursing masters degree and targeted academic degree programs.Make presentations to healthcare facilities and attend healthcare/nursing-related career fairs.Work closely with the School of Nursing to identify key stakeholders and opportunities to garner qualified leads.Nurture inquiry to application completion then coordinate hand-off to Admissions, Nursing, and academic advisor/coordinator.Develop events to highlight the new nursing masters degree and academic programs.Required Qualifications:Bachelors degree in Nursing, Communications, Marketing, Business, or related field.2 years of experience.Demonstrated experience in strategic marketing, communications, and digital media.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse audiences (i.e. leadership, faculty, staff, colleagues, industry representatives, alumni, and students).Experience with market research and data analysis and skilled at translating complex information into understandable communications for multiple audiences.Familiarity with effective recruitment strategies for higher education.Knowledge of methods for utilizing data analytics to effectively recruit specialized groups.Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship (Nevada State does not sponsor employment-related visas).Please note: Applicants must meet the posted minimum qualifications at the time of application in order to be considered for the position.Preferred Qualifications:Excellent computer skills with MS Office and Adobe Creative Suite.Strong understanding of content practices such as SEO, SMO, and PPC.Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills.Experience working with outside vendors and consultants, including the ability to set project milestones and keep internal and external team members on time and budget.Salary & BenefitsBudgeted salary for this position is $60,000.
