If so, Expedia Group wants you!As the Director, Social Media, you will be our right hand, working closely and reporting to the Sr. Director, Global Head of Social Media to develop and implement a winning social media strategy across all Expedia Group brands globally. You will have the opportunity to lead a talented team of social media strategists and specialists, ensuring our social presence is engaging, inspiring, and drives business results.What You'll Do:Partner with the Global Head of Social Media to develop, implement, and operationalize a comprehensive social media strategy across our brands, aligned with Expedia Group's overall business goalsOversee, manage, and develop strong strategic recommendations on the day-to-day implementation of the social media strategy and BAU content across Expedia Groups brands and platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, LinkedIn, etc.) to build stronger social communitiesCreate consistency and rigor across social for Expedia Groups portfolio of brandsLead and mentor a team of social media strategists, inspiring, building, and fostering a collaborative and creative environment across the teamManage operations of a best-in-class social organization that inspires travel globally, regionally and locallyStay up-to-date on the latest social media trends and identify opportunities to leverage new platforms and features, particularly those relevant to specific regional/local audiencesTrack and analyze social media performance metrics, including paid boosting social campaign performance, identifying areas for improvement and reporting on key resultsManage social media budgets and resources effectively, with a keen understanding of optimizing spend across diverse markets and business unitsDevelop and maintain strong relationships cross-functional partners to deliver business resultsWho You Are:Minimum 10 years of experience in social media marketing, with a proven track record of success in a leadership roleMinimum 5 years managing and leading large global teamsAgency experienceHave strategy and execution experience running Social at global brands that have a clear voice in social, and where social an important driver of the way is a brand goes to marketIn-depth knowledge of major social media platforms and best practices, including paid boosting advertising strategies, and campaign and community managementInherent understanding of Internet culture, social demographics, how to build community, and know how to show up on social in an authentic wayStrong understanding of social media analytics and reporting tools, with the ability to translate data insights into actionable strategiesPassion for travel and the tourism industry, with a keen understanding of regional and local market social landscapesExperience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentA strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute complex plansProven ability to manage high-performing social media teamsExperience with influencer marketing, particularly within the travel industry a plusFluency in multiple languages a plus#J-18808-Ljbffr
