The anticipated start date for this Visiting Assistant Professor position is August 15, 2024 and will be for the academic year.Responsibilities will include scholarship and/or practice, teaching, and potentially career and internship advising for students in the program. The successful candidate should possess an established record of scholarship and/or practice within communication, journalism and/or media studies (specialty areas open). The successful candidate will join existing faculty in the major and related majors within the College of Humanities and Sciences, and will engage in collaborative efforts to support the program and its special areas of focus in sports and health communication, fashion journalism, and advocacy.

EDUCATION REQUIRED: Ph.D. or other advanced professional degree in communication, media studies or related area.QUALIFICATIONS: Mastery of concepts in communication/media studies and media practices and technology. Applicants should possess an established record of scholarship and/or practice within communication, journalism and/or media studies. Ability to teach media skills (writing/audio/video) required. Experience teaching at a University level in media, communication is desirable, as is professional experience in journalism and media.
