Under direct supervision of the Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies to drive the continued growth of all properties of the Tohono O’odham Gaming Enterprise (TOGE) and enhance its brand presence throughout the community and industry. The CMO leads a team of marketing professionals and collaborates closely with other departments to align marketing efforts with overall business objectives. The role requires a blend of strategic thinking, creativity, analytical skills, and leadership abilities. The CMO is responsible for aligning the marketing strategy with TOGE strategic vision and core values, which are maintained in accordance with established laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.

Strategic Planning:• Develops and formulates comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with the company's strategic plan• Collaborates with senior leadership to gain insights into long-term vision, target markets, and key performance indicators• Defines clear marketing goals, metrics, and key performance indicators to measure the effectiveness of campaigns and initiatives• Ensures effective control of marketing results, and takes corrective action to assure that achievement of marketing objectives fall within the designated budgets• Plans, organizes, develops and coordinates all marketing policies, procedures, and opportunities for growth• Achieves financial objectives by preparing and overseeing the annual budget, inclusive of operational plans and staffingBrand Management:• Oversees brand development and ensures consistency across all properties and marketing channels• Leads the development of branding elements such as logo, tagline, colors, and visual assets that reflect the brand's personality and values• Positions TOGE effectively in the market to distinguish itself from competitors• Monitors brand reputation and implements strategies to enhance brand equity and customer loyalty• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by conducting research, attending seminars, educational workshops, classes and conferences, reviewing professional publications, establishing networks, participating in professional societies, and conferring with representatives of contracting agencies and related organizationsMarketing Communications:• Leads the development of marketing campaigns, advertising, and promotional activities across various channels (digital, social media, traditional media, etc.)• Leads the gathering of data on market trends, consumer behavior, competitor strategies, and industry insights• Leads the creative teams to produce compelling content, including copywriting, visuals, and multimedia assets• Communicates marketing information effectively with all departmentsOther:• Ensures compliance with all federal, state and Tohono O’odham Gaming Office Tribal Gaming Regulations• Improves staff effectiveness by coaching, counseling, training, and recommending disciplinary action for team members; plans, delegates, monitors, and appraises job tasks and results in a timely manner• Represents TOGE to external agencies, consultants, and other organizations and individuals• Contributes to a team effort and accomplishes related results as required• Performs other duties as requiredJob Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:Education and Experience:Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field required plus twelve (12) years of marketing experience, to include casino marketing (advertising, database, promotions, guest loyalty), player development, brand development, and entertainment required. At least three (3) of the twelve (12) years must have been in the senior most marketing position overseeing a multi-property marketing team of three or more casinos, which largest property will have had no fewer than 1,450 slot machines and 50 table games; must have been directly involved with casino openings; must have multi-property casino marketing, player development, brand development, strategic planning and entertainment experience.Demonstrated success in brand development including maintenance of brand standards required. Implementation of long-term marketing plans in a market with multiple like-sized competitors; leading the annual marketing planning process for all properties; coordinating marketing efforts among properties and evaluating, selecting and working with outside advertising agencies required. Must successfully pass a job interview. No felony, theft, or stealing convictions. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen, background investigation, obtain and maintain a gaming license.
