Sweater Designer – BCI BrandsResponsibilities:Creating development tech packs to request proto samplesMaking sure that sample yarn is ordered and dyed/lab dipped, in order to make showroom samples for the sales teamSourcing yarn qualitiesCreates layouts for patterns, stitches, and garment construction as neededHelps manage yarn library, swatches, and organizational needs alongside assistantMentor and lead assistant level designersRequirements5+ years
of experience in the sweater design industryExhibit a strong work ethic, leadership skills, high energy level, organized, and detail-orientedStrong interpersonal, communication, presentation skillsNeeds strong technical knowledge in sweater makin: yarn qualities & sizes, and knitting techniques & stitchesComprehension of fully fashioned sweater construction and fitStrong illustrative skills for technical flatsProficient in Excel, Illustrator, Photoshop. Procreate a plus.Must be able to multitask and work cross functionally with multiple teamsMust be able to work independently but also be a team playerCapable of effective correspondence with overseas factoriesThe salary range for this full-time position starts at $80k+ and is dependent upon experience level.Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
