Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled

CADD Developer-EngineerTech

to provide full-time, on-site support as part of the Defense Health Agency Headquarters Engineering Operations in San Antonio, TX. This role involves updating and maintaining electronic engineering drawings as well as supporting various engineering design and construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Update and maintain electronic engineering drawings, including Life Safety, fire alarm, fire suppression, mechanical HVAC, plumbing, and electrical drawings.Reflect as-built changes through additions, moves, modifications, etc., in existing MEP and Architectural infrastructure and elements.Update and create air and water flow diagrams, control diagrams, floor plans, and other deliverables to support DHA planning, operations, maintenance, design, construction, and commissioning activities.Import existing PDF scans of facilities when no engineering design drawings exist and convert raster files to AutoDesk or other engineering design software drawing files.Support external/internal requests for fire protection/life safety facility drawing files, installation, and project folder creation.Perform quality control reviews of completed designs.Research applications for fire and HVAC systems and products and attend required training courses for professional development.Participate in engineering quality control activities such as fire alarm, fire pump, HVAC, and electrical testing.Perform field surveys to develop new designs, verify the accuracy of drawings, and assist installation personnel in complex projects.Assist in life safety surveys for compliance with applicable NFPA and UFC codes, record and report building deficiencies observed during site visits.Perform functional testing and commissioning for government acceptance of systems.Requirements

Education and Experience:

Associates degree in computer aided design from an accredited institution and/or a specialty area certificate in computer aided design from an accredited technical college.BS in engineering technology, fire protection, or equivalent experience in related industry preferred.Five (5) years of experience working with Engineers utilizing Autodesk and comparable computer-aided design software.Familiarity with facility management, building infrastructure systems, and associated standard drawing and component naming conventions.US Citizen with National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) Clearance, or ability to obtain said clearance.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Ability to integrate information from various sources into different systems, ensuring proper system interfaces.Ability to collect data for analysis and develop resulting projects.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.Strong ability to partner across functions to reach desired company goals.Familiarity with other engineering disciplines and ability to interpret multiple styles of trade drawings for coordination between trades.Strong interpersonal, communicative, diplomatic, and analytical skills for professional quality presentations to executive leadership and large audiences.Salary:
