The Director of Sales, Marketing, and Events has direct oversight of the Sales, Marketing, and Events operations of the hotel. This highly visible role involves leadership and strategy development to achieve the hotel’s revenue goals and increase market share performance. Reporting to the General Manager, the Director of Sales, Marketing, and Events is a member of the hotel's Leadership Committee and interacts regularly with Senior and Corporate leadership.

The Role

The Director of Sales, Marketing, and Events oversees the Sales, Marketing, and Events budget/P&L, conducts revenue forecasting, and develops business plans. Individuals in this role lead advertising and marketing initiatives, attend ownership meetings, and prepare relevant documentation. The role involves developing and implementing both short-term and long-term sales, catering, and marketing strategies. Additionally, the Director of Sales, Marketing, and Events supervises sales managers, trainees, interns, and administrative staff. The Director of Sales, Marketing, and Events will monitor and train staff on the group and transient contractual agreement process, manage quoting rates, sending referrals, setting traces, and retention, reactivation, and acquisition accounts. Proficiency in utilizing and managing various sales and revenue systems/programs is essential.
