Kitchen Suppression Systems - Fire Protection
The CAD Designer I is an important member of the Fox Valley Fire & Safety Co. Engineering & Design team. We are seeking a talented CAD designer with experience in designing Fire Protection, specifically Kitchen Suppression Systems. Experience with Ansul products is strongly desired. Job Responsibilities:
The CAD Designer I will produce fire system drawings for pre-engineered kitchen hood fire suppression systems of various listings and designs depending on the manufacturer.Pre-Engineered system manufacturers include Ansul, Pyro-Chem, Piranha, KIdde, Range Guard, Amerex, and CaptiveAire.These systems are designed and tested to meet UL300 Standard (the standard for wet chemical kitchen fire suppression systems).Our designer is responsible for taking the information from construction plans, photos, site surveys or a combination to produce CAD drawings for submittal into local AHJ’s for plan review and permit.Produce drawings which will include information on system manufacturer, size of system, number of tanks, flow points, nozzle placement, fusible link ratings, appliance/hazard sizes, tank locations, pull station locations, etc.Works collaboratively with our sales team to print drawings, compile submittal packages, and produce as-built drawings for any changes in the design after the work is completed in the field.
Job Requirements:
Minimum 1-3 years experience as CAD DesignerHigh School Diploma is requiredInterest in Fire & Life Safety Industry with an interest in learning other facets of our business in the future, such as Fire Alarm and Fire SprinklerDependable, and reliable, with the ability to work onsite in Elgin, ILProfessional communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.Associate Degree is desirableFire Protection industry experience is highly desirable
