This role offers a unique opportunity to drive innovation, lead high-performing teams, and shape the future of media technology solutions
About the Role: As the Vice President of Media Engineering Services, you will be responsible for leading our engineering efforts, driving technological innovation, and ensuring operational excellence across our media services portfolio. You will play a crucial role in shaping our technology strategy, fostering customer relationships, and contributing to the company's growth and success. We need a real Mastering person, may have worked at a DI color grading company, or a more general post house that also had color grading. The exec we need must have a strong reputation as an expert in this arena.When they say "Mastering person" they are referring to a Mastering engineer who worked at a post production company (not music mastering- more along the lines of video mastering and the like)
Key Responsibilities:
Provide inspirational leadership and strategic direction to the media engineering services team
Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and industry stakeholders
Drive business performance and growth, meeting regional and global targets
Oversee delivery and operational excellence, ensuring high-quality service and customer satisfaction
Support pre-sales engineering efforts in collaboration with the Business Development team
Act as a solutions architect for all media service products and adjacent services
Lead research and testing of new technologies to support existing and future business opportunities
Optimize existing workflows and processes for maximum efficiency
Ensure media pipeline adheres to the latest industry security standards and protocols
Collaborate with CTO and IT teams on global DAM/MAM solutions
Work with development teams to integrate media pipeline into in-house platforms
Build and support a team of subject matter experts to support global operations
Qualifications:
Proven leadership experience in media technology or related field
Strong technical background with deep understanding of media engineering and workflows
Excellent communication and public speaking skills
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain customer relationships
Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
Track record of driving operational excellence and process optimization
Experience in stakeholder management at senior levels
Ability to think strategically and translate vision into actionable plans
Expertise in video mastering, with experience in a DI color grading company or a post-production house that includes color grading services
Strong reputation as an expert in video mastering and related areas
