As the Senior Audiovisual Project Manager, you will report to and directly support the Manager of Audiovisual Design and Engineering serving on the team focused on designing and supporting enterprise-grade audiovisual solutions that serves GW’s academic mission. The AV Design and Collaboration Spaces team works collaboratively with all engineering and support entities and end-user groups across the university at large. With an emphasis in strong collaboration and communication skills, this senior Individual Contributor position is the subject matter expert overseeing the overall execution, coordination, completion, and budget reporting of AV systems integration projects across the University.

Oversees the audiovisual design engineering team’s workflows and deliverables for project execution. Serves as GW IT’s representative to various academic planning committees and provides consultation on GW Classroom Design Standards.Facilitates internal and external project kickoff meetings ensuring that all project participants are well informed of the project goals, timelines, resource alignments and work assignments.Creates and manages project schedules and coordinates appropriate resource scheduling for all relevant project tasks. Analyzes resource load and advises leadership on staffing impact.Performs status/progress reporting for all projects and communicates to internal stakeholders and external clients. Raises issues requiring escalation to management.Continually analyzes project risks and proposes mitigation recommendations to upline management. Ensures project changes are handled in accordance with the proper Change Management procedures.Performs project intake and triage by consulting with stakeholders and clients to perform needs analysis and translate into functional system requirements.Manages and ensures the quality of work performed by internal and/or subcontracted resources by actively visiting job sites and inspecting/verifying progressDevelops and maintains strong relationships with customers by direct interaction with focus on understanding the customers’ perception of on-time delivery, quality, communication, responsiveness and problem solving. Participates in the GW IT Community of Change Practitioners to ensure effective expectations management and proper communication of timelines and & changesCollects, maintains, and analyzes data on GW’s collaboration spaces to inform the continuous improvement needs of our environment. Key contributor to the development of GW IT’s annual Classroom Technology Refresh programServes as a trusted partner with colleagues by fostering collaborative working relationships with internal IT teams and organizations at GW. Actively engages with architects, general contractors, integrators, and other tradespeople to ensure the successful delivery of technology in GW’s collaboration spaces.

Minimum Qualifications:Qualified candidates will hold a Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization plus 5 years of relevant professional experience, or, a Master’s degree or higher in a relevant area of study plus 3 years of relevant professional experience. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position.
