Responsibilities

The Associate Manager OmniChannel Retail Marketing focuses on Marketing and Development activity to support the marketing of Consumer Products from Universal Pictures theatrical releases and NBC Television programs that maximizes sell-in and sell-through at retail. Develops retail strategies in partnership with retailers by defining the right media mix to amplify campaign messages while driving sales.

The focus of the position is to deliver significant retail marketing, media value and promotional activity incorporating all NBCUniversal business units (consumer products, promotions, home entertainment, and TV properties) to support CP sales Online and in-store at key accounts.

This role will work closely with Consumer Products to help deliver revenue through marketing and placement of product online and in-store at key accounts.

Retail accounts include growth channels including Specialty, Grocery, Club, Value, Home Improvement, Off-Price, and Drug.

Direct Responsibilities

Retail responsibilities: Growth Channels (Specialty, Grocery, Club, Value, Home Improvement, Off-Price, Drug).

Own the CP retail marketing strategies in support of initiatives within NBCUniversal’s portfolio for the Growth Channel business.

Develop omni-channel campaigns (digital, social, in-store, etc.) that drive consumer demand and meaningful ROI/product sales.

Manage campaign development process including any campaign ideation/concepting/brainstorming, pitching or the sell-in of ideas internally/externally, along with all creative execution.

Manage contributions to various initiatives such as executive retail meetings, pitch decks, postmortems, asset development and PR support requests.

Responsible for asset sharing to external licensees/partners, contract support where needed and gathering product needs, and liaison between internal stakeholders to gather presentation materials.

Serve as primary point of contact for all things NBCU with retailer marketing & media teams.

Partner with Retail Marketing counterpart/Retail Sales to define retail differentiators across product exclusives, program themes, and marketing elements to provide meaningful distinction at accounts.

Manage planning and collaboration with internal/external stakeholders, including licensee marketing teams and agencies, on campaign amplification and budget planning.

Manage retail marketing budget for growth channel accounts inclusive of generating PO’s and invoice processing

Consistently educate on merchandise strategies/products to inform marketing campaign direction and development.

Conduct ongoing market trend analysis (internal and external) influencing marketing planning.

Must be willing and able to travel, sometimes on short notice.

Salary range: $60,000 - $75,000

Requirements

3 plus years of retail, marketing, promotions or packaged goods experience with significant experience creating large scale programs

Deep knowledge of retail business including retail marketing tactics, promotional partners/packaged goods, home entertainment, and consumer products

Strong pitching and negotiating skills with the demonstrated ability to close large deals

Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively and consistently with supervisor, UP&E colleagues and cross-divisional stakeholders

Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
