Making sure you fit the guidelines as an applicant for this role is essential, please read the below carefully.Our client is looking for a talented and experienced Technical Writer to support Product Integration team documentation creation and standardization efforts. This role will also be a critical linchpin in rolling in continuous improvements and upgrades to written work instructions and processes on the floor to expedite assembly and test operations. They will also help lead documentation, training and technical standard creation efforts.Key Job Responsibilities:Interact with engineers, subject matter experts, production personnel, and other production leadership to create clear, concise and accurate work instructions and process documents.Create clear visual work instructions for assembling and testing satellite hardware according to Client specifications.Revamp and improve Client’s documentation processes, including content delivery, storage, release and revision control.Collaboratively implement innovative solutions to enhance engineering and production’s access to information.Support training documentation and initiatives in collaboration with audio and visual content.Work with instructions and process documents within version control software and documentation release systems, in order to preserve and manage the integrity and configuration of the documentation.Review other work instructions and documentation as a review authority to drive home standardization and a high bar for Client content.Basic Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in an engineering, math, science, writing, English, journalism, marketing, or communications field.3 years of experience in manufacturing engineering or technical writing.3 years of experience converting and translating engineering instructions and information into content intended for a variety of audiences and ability levels.Preferred Qualifications:Technical writing experience in automotive, military or aviation industries.Capacity to read and understand technical drawings and schematics.Hands-on hardware experience, whether professional or hobby.Ability to quickly learn, absorb, and apply technical content to further develop understanding of electronics assembly and testing processes.Strong analytical, project management, computer, communication, and writing skills (typing, spelling, grammar).Familiarity with mechanical processes in a manufacturing environment.
