Job Description:Living Faith Church is seeking a Worship & Media Leader to serve as a spiritual and organizational leader who oversees the worship and media ministry of the church. This position is part-time (30 hours per week) and reports to the Lead Pastor.Job Summary:The Worship & Media Leader will be an effective Spirit-led musician, vocalist, and team builder. The role requires one who is able to work closely and effectively with the Lead Pastor to plan worship services that both glorify God and maximize the congregation’s ability to engage in authentic worship. Additionally, the Worship & Media Leader will possess a technical aptitude and adaptability as the church continues to pursue digital solutions for the modern age.Primary Responsibilities:Recruit, manage and develop a team of volunteers in support of weekly worship services and other periodic special services. This includes singers and instrumentalists , sound and light technicians, presentation software and livestream technicians, social media specialists and other multimedia functions,In collaboration with the lead Pastor, plan and prepare song selection for weekly worship services that fit a theme and focus.Lead worship team in Sunday morning rehearsals, including communion and prayer times.Ensure that supplies, tools, and equipment needed for each service are available and in place for applicable worship and media team members.Hold regularly scheduled rehearsals and sound-checks in coordination with church and volunteer calendars.Manage Planning Center “Services” app to create service orders, access song resources, and communicate volunteer schedules.Participate in weekly staff meetings and monthly Ministry Team meetings.Write, oversee, and implement annual ministry plans for worship and media ministries, including budget and supplies/equipment requests.Secondary ResponsibilitiesManage creation of presentation software slides for worship services, ensuring accuracy and readability (songs, message, announcements, etc.).Manage publication of sermon notes to Church App.Manage editing and publication of sermons to website/podcast.Collaborate with organizations renting the facilities to ensure music and sound equipment is stored appropriately and a process is in place to confirm all parties’ needs are met.Desired Qualities and Skills:The Worship & Media Leader will have a passionate, growing relationship with God and heart to minister to and encourage the spiritual growth of the congregation and worship team. The ideal candidate will:Become a vital and active member of the LFC community. Participating in activities like life groups/growth groups, retreats, all church events, bible studies etc.for personal and corporate edification.Have experience in leading a worship ministry that is measurable and successful.Have a heart that is sensitive to the needs and responsiveness of the congregation in worship.Demonstrate the ability to encourage the church body in their relationship with Christ and personal growth in that relationship.Have strong vocal skills and ability to play a musical instrument used to lead worship (e.g. piano/guitar/keyboard).Demonstrate strong leadership skills, particularly in working through team dynamics, with the goal of utilizing strengths and promoting team growth.Be flexible and humble, working in collaboration with the Lead Pastor, staff, and ministry team, in order to fulfill the vision of the church.Be approachable, encouraging, and motivational.Be creative, strategic, and a good communicator.Be well-versed in working with chord charts, sheet music, and guitar tabs.Have the ability to work independently and efficiently.
