Position Overview

Build and shape the evolution of the consumer brand vision and strategy. Establish and implement the rebranding for all advertising, marketing and customer communication elements for the AMS consumer brands. Bring innovative perspectives and new direct response ideas/concepts, while monitoring the external competition. Manage and supervise the Creative Services team to provide quality direct marketing, advertising and related marketing communications and programs for physical and digital marketing assets and creative content (copy, photography, videography). Cost-effectively manage Creative Services functions including all Creative vendor negotiations as well as digital marketing assets and ongoing enhancements - exploring and implement opportunities for automation and AI to improve speed and levels of customization. Support the creative development of photography, videography and editing. Provide on-time delivery and follow-through of all creative output while achieving budget goals. Be the lead partner with Marketing and Merchandising to assure seamless alignment in all "storytelling" and value.

Essential Functions, Duties & Accountabilities

Develop and maintain a clear and compelling brand strategy that aligns with the company's mission, values, and objectives.

Define brand positioning, content mix, messaging, and voice that resonates with target audiences and differentiates us from competitors.

Create creative brand playbooks to support the consistent activation of brand elements into each marketing asset.

Oversee the development and execution of print and digital advertising and marketing communications including corporate and product collateral, space ads, magazine ads, direct mail, e-mail and website offers for the GovMint.com brand.

Manage and support graphic design, photo art direction, copy editing and videography including all phases of the creative process.

Develop and grow AI capabilities across the team and routines to improve personalization and speed of copy writing and graphic design development.

Provide creative direction and leadership to Creative Staff.

Develop and oversee an advertising review and documentation process to ensure compliance with all laws, rules, and regulations, and to ensure all advertising claims are sufficiently supported.

Hire, train, develop and manage staff to meet needs of AMS.

Preparation of job descriptions and performance reviews for staff.

Manage creative priorities, planning and organizing, problem solving, communication (oral and written) and making group presentations as required.

Manage print purchasing and production of sales, marketing and corporate materials in a timely and cost-effective manner, with ultimate responsible for vendor relationships.

Manage internal workflow and balance with the use of outside contract labor, when needed.

Participate in creation and improvement of a coin product database - with special focus on product videography, photography and copy resources.

Conduct market research and analysis to identify consumer insights, trends, and opportunities for brand growth.

Monitor and evaluate brand performance, tracking key metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of brand initiatives and campaigns.

Staffing

Supervise and develop a staff of 9 employees, including establishing and documenting goals and objectives, and performance management.

As needed, augment the team, working closely with Human Resources to recruit and effectively on-board high caliber talent.

Maintain flexibility in work schedule to meet business needs.

Actively and positively contribute to the overall success of AMS brands through regular contributions to the general management of the company. Participate and provide leadership in inter-departmental meetings, projects, and informal activities. Support the company and other departments wherever and whenever your skills and experience would be beneficial.

Educational Requirements

1. 4-year college degree in related field.

Experience and Skills

5-8 years of Creative & Brand Services or Communication Management experience is required, with at least 4 years in management/supervisory positions.

Excellent copywriting skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to work with Mac programs, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Access and PowerPoint is required.

Previous experience directing product photography, videography beneficial.
